PRE·CARE

How should I prepare for my appointment?

During the week leading up to your appointment, please keep the tattoo area moisturized. Avoid exposing the area to the sun if you’re easily sunburnt. If you’re healing a sunburn on the day of your appointment, I won’t be able to tattoo you.

Make sure you’re well-rested. Avoid partying the night before your appointment because more often than not, your body will not handle a long tattoo session well the next day. No alcohol 24 hours before your appointment – alcohol is a blood thinner and will likely make you bleed more during your session.

Eat a good meal before coming in. Feel free to bring snacks and a beverage with you to your appointment. Wear comfortable clothing – make sure the tattoo area is easily accessible. If possible, wear dark coloured clothing or something you don’t really care about in case ink gets on your clothes.

If you’re getting your back tattooed, bring a zip/button-up to wear backwards. If you’re getting your chest or sternum tattooed, bring a tank/tube/bathing suit top or pasties. Makeshift coverings can be provided if needed. I will never require you to expose a part of your body during the tattoo process unless it is necessary for me to complete your tattoo. My goal is to make the entire experience as comfortable for you as possible.
